Stamping Bella...Seniorita Beverly

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a good weekend and for those of you that celebrated Mother's Day...
I hope you were pampered and you should be.
We had a lovely dinner at our daughters yesterday. She is an awesome cook so it's always a treat.
I plan on tackling more of my spring cleaning this week so it's sure to be a busy one.
We even made an appointment to have the snow tires removed ...
that's how optimistic I am that Spring has arrived!

I've a card for you today that is from one of the new lines from Stamping Bella...I couldn't resist Seniorita Beverly.. ...she makes me smile... I just want to dance along with her. The wonderful sentiment is included.

It's not showing up on the photo but I added clear embossing powder to the rain and puddle to give a gloss.
DP is from the gorgeous Graphic45 Botanical Tea 8x8 pad.
The cardstock is StampinUp Certainly Celery and the rose was made using SB Rose Creations die.
Doily and clip are from my stash.
Copic colours:
Umbrella - R85, 83, 81 & R89
Blue: B97, 95, 91
Green:  YG63, G43, 40

Mother's Day

Hi everyone,
I hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend.
We've had a few days above freezing and it's amazing how much snow has disappeared...yeah!  bring on Spring. I can even see a few crocus poking their heads up.

I thought I would share a card with you today that I made for my niece who as I mentioned in an earlier post has adopted a young boy.
I've used a lovely digital stamp from ADFD called A Rose For Mom

No embellishments added because it needed to be mailed but I'm happy with the simplicity.
Papertrey Ink dp's used.   Image coloured with Copics .  Sharpie white poster paint marker used to create the polka dots on her shirt.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Totally Papercrafts Challenge - Beautiful Borders

Hi everyone,

and Happy Friday.  I hope you have something fun planned for the weekend.
Our granddaughters are coming for a sleep over tomorrow night.
I haven't seen them since they returned from Disney World over the March break
so we have some catching up to do.

Today starts a new challenge at
and our lovely Wendy has chosen the theme "Beautiful Borders".

My card share is a birthday card I made for one of my granddaughters, who like me, is a fan of The Hunger Games.
She has read the trilogy and is eagerly awaiting the third movie Mockingjay that's due out later this year.

I've coloured Krista Smiths  Princess Honor  from Saturated Canary with Copics and went with a "Catching Fire"  theme.

I pulled out a lot of oldies when making this card.  The inside circle is cut using SB Large pinking circles.  I then glued on the metal beaded circles and attached a gold rhinestone to the center of each one.  The flowers are from WOC. I finally got to use the brown and green colours that I just had to have a year ago:)   Tim Holtz Weathered Clock die and SB Sprocket die overlap the outside frame. The metal piece is from a visit to Buffalo Stamps.  The wooden clocks are 7 Gypsies...and Graphic 45.  Sentiment created in Word.  Shape is Go Kreate Half XXL Square Frame Frilly #10.  The inner layers are cut by hand.   If I haven't lost you by now there is one more very old tool I use to draw the inner is by Puzzle Mates and they are called Magic Matter Disk Set.   They are round metal disks with a hole in the put your pencil in, align the disk with the die and trace.....easy as that. All this is because I have been unable to find the XL dies that match #10. DP - Graphic 45 Couture

I would like to enter the following challenges:
Divas by Design - Flower Power
Frilly and Funkie Challenge - Neglected Dies
4Crafty Girls Challenge #14 - Anything Goes

For a Very Special Boy

Hi everyone,

I hope you had a great weekend and are ready for the week ahead.
It was a cold one for us but the sun was shining
so hopefully it's beginning to melt some of the mountains of snow we still have acquired.

Okay..I've held it back long enough.....I'm so excited to show you my card today.
It is very special because it's for a wonderful young boy that joined his new family thru adoption this weekend.
I am so happy for the parties involved and shed tears of joy when I heard the good news.

I know he loves the outdoors, enjoys fishing so I tried for a woodsy theme
using cork, felt, jute and linen on kraft cardstock.
For the inside I created leaves with family names on them (not shown for privacy reasons).

MB Tree cut in cork
MB Fishtail cut in felt and linen paper
SB Grand Labels One die cut in cork
